I'm a man without a corpse.
A body without blood.
All my skin has decomposed,
I'm a man without a corpse.
Yet the vessels lie intact,
And pump the blood I lack.
Still the efforts go to waste,
Because lifeless I remain.
All the people stop and stare,
At my unfortunate despair.
They go about their day,
Still the people stopped and stared.
I honestly can say,
I only have myself to blame.
Yes my actions I regret,
Still I'm a man without a corpse.
I would swear to change,
But its just a thing I'd say.
Like a hollow dream,
Or a promise I can't keep.
I was a grave.
A man exposed to prey.
A chest of beaks,
I'm ripped apart piece by piece.
Back when I was young and pure,
I took the things that I could cure,
I shattered them and taught,
My bones to weak and rot.
The practice became plot,
And made my breath so hot.
My skin had turned to slime,
And it melted over time.
Actions grew worse,
Therefore so did this curse.
I soon would start,
To graffiti on this heart.
The only things I love,
Are the only things I lack.
I swear I'd change,
If I could have my body back.
A great band from my area. Saw these guys open for Tycho and their performance was breathtaking to say the least. Very fun music. Shadow and the Mountain
